As a family that has grown up in the Town of Sahuarita, we have always wanted to find ways in giving back to the community. We knew that once our business began to grow, we wanted to make a point in giving back to a community that has always been there for those who are in need. We joined a wonderful Community Garden effort that is located at Anamax Park off of La Canada. The garden was established to create connections, community, and to give back to a local food bank. We knew that this was something that we could greatly help with, and are so very glad that we did!
This morning we harvested our first lot of cabbage (mostly), lettuce, and some broccoli. We were even more excited that this was something that we could share with our son, who also decided to EAT and ENJOY his very first piece of lettuce, who knew? It was a wonderful feeling to be able to provide a little something that is fresh and grown for someone who really needs it. We hope that this inspires someone to join in a community garden, and donate to a local food bank.
